The GLYCOCALYX, glycan branches and  membrane-bound glycoproteins, represents the ultimate FRONTIER of the cell. Yet, it remains largely unexplored due to the lack of tools and techniques capable of manipulating and studying it. Hence, any minimal discovery about glycocalyx components might REDEFINE well-established concepts in cell biology.
